This evening's blog is going to be a little short due to two things: the possible chance of thunderstorms and I keep getting blown-off of the Internet and I am blaming it all on F.M.T. (Full Moon Time.).
This morning when Tony and I went outside to do our morning chores it started drizzling, thank goodness, so we grabbed our rain coats, off of the table on our front porch, to put them on, but I had a surprise, thanks to Tony's dog— Belle Starr-Simons, because she had eaten most of the front of my cheap, green, plastic raincoat, leaving me only the top three snaps to use, because the rest were gone, including the zipper. Needless to say, when we were done feeding and cleaning the pens—my top was dry and my bottom was damp. So, I want to thank Tony's dog, Miss B.S.-S. for leaving me the three snaps.
Late this afternoon after getting a lot of business work done, I called it a day and went out to my precious, pink cabin and decided to replace the old, blue checkered curtains in the front room, because they didn't match the newly reupholstered chairs and ottoman against the wall.
Forty minutes later, after making some crisp, green-striped curtains I went outside and hung them up, but I wasn't thrilled with the way they looked.
Not being real impressed with how the green curtains looked, I went back inside the trailer and made another set of curtains, out of some fabric that I was going to use to reupholster the old blue ottoman and when I hung them up—I was thrilled, because they popped, but the old, dark blue ottoman stood out like a sore thumb.
When I returned to the trailer I asked Tone to please go outside to my cabin and bring the blue ottoman up to the front porch, so I could paint it with some pink Krylon paint, made for vinyl. One hour later, after I had spray painted the drab ottoman I asked Tony to please take the pink ottoman back to my cabin and when he set it down I was so happy, with the way it looked, I shot it!
As I finish writing this tonight, Mama and I are outside in my cozy cabin. Mama is snoring loudly, on the couch, in the lower room and I am sitting at a beautiful, antique school desk, that my dear friend John Kemmerly gave to me many years ago and listening to Jim Keaveny's awesome music, with the full moon playing hide-and-seek with the clouds outside. And in my opinion, it just doesn't get any better than this. I am such a lucky person.
Y'all have a great evening and please keep praying that we get some more rain! "Wake up, Mama. We need to get to the trailer, because it is starting to sprinkle..."
