Doing Its Thing!

Well, I'm keeping my promise about showing you our new/improved coffee table. In the beginning, my homemade coffee table looked like this after we removed it, from Outer Space and took it over to The Cabin. And this picture was taken, on October 22nd, before I decorated the big room's almost bare walls.

Here are three pictures, at different angles, that I took this afternoon, of our new/improved coffee table. And please note that the big room's walls are decorated.

And before I go binge-watch all of Season 4 of The Ranch, on Netflix, with Little Debbie, Big Al(ice), Roy, Belle, Beau and Henry Standing Bear, I want to show you this picture that I took, this afternoon, of our wood burning stove doing its thing.

Y'all have a great evening and keep on laughing!

Thrilled!

This week has been so busy for us and that is why I've not posted anything since last Sunday. Besides having to take care of ranch paperwork, etc. it still was fun for us.

Last Sunday Hans & Marita invited us to eat dinner with them and Stephen & Eva, on Tuesday, at Stephen's & Eva's home, in Fredericksburg. Because Hans had bragged several times about Marita's fabulous Norwegian cooking, Marita was going to do all of the cooking. And they also asked me to please bring my guitar too, so Stephen Morris, Hans and could do a little jamming.

After we had confirmed the date with them, Tony went over to Kinky's Lodge to visit with Kinky's and our good friend Brian Molnar. He's the great singer/song writer/ musician who often tours with Kinky and he also produced Kinky's latest CD, The Loneliest Man I Ever Met.

Anyway, when Tony came back home, he said, "Nance, you're not going to believe this! Brian is good friends with Hans & Marita, too...." And when we told Marita & Hans about Brian being here they asked us to invite him, too.

So late Tuesday afternoon the three of us carpooled, in Brian's rented Lexus, so we could go eat dinner with our friends and Brian brought along his guitar, too. And to say the least, "We all had a total blast. Marita is a really great cook and we had a lot of fun jamming together.

Wednesday and Thursday were quiet days, so that is why I didn't post.

Friday was a great day. Our great friends/dog-walking volunteers came out and after walking our dogs for us, we went up to, the Koyote Grill, to eat lunch together. As always we did a lot of laughing and we did a lot of talking about how great Netflix's Season-5 of Longmire was. And we were all excited about getting to watch the hilarious, Netflix sit-com, The Ranch-Season-2, which airs on Friday, October 7th.

Saturday morning and most of that afternoon we spent with our good friend Jim,"The Mineral Man," over at Kinky's Lodge, because Jim had volunteered to try to help fix the Wi-Fi problem that Kinky's guests were having trouble with.

And after Jim had to make another round trip back to his home to get his PC— he came back and solved the problem and fixed it. After all of us had used our own devices to make sure that we could all get on the Internet easily, I decided to call Kinky.

When I called Kink, I already knew that he was sitting, in the, San Antone airport, waiting to catch a plane to Australia, because I knew that he would be glad to know that Jim had fixed the Wi-Fi problem for his guests to use. And I was right.

After telling Kinky the thrilling news, Kinky asked me to please thank Jim for him and to tell him that he wanted to take Jim out to lunch to thank him, when he gets back to the ranch. "Okay," I said. "But you can thank him right now, because Jim is still here, packing us his computer stuff." Then I handed the phone over to Jim, so Kinky could talk to him. And before their conversation had ended, Kinky had told Jim that he was going to put Jim's Brisbane, Australian friends, on his Brisbane guest list  and that thrilled Jim.

And that is about it for tonight, because tomorrow is going to another busy day for us.

Y'all have a great evening and keep on laughing!

Old Friends And New Friends! or The Ranch Rocks!

Today has been great. This morning, as planned, James & Vivi, from Paris, Texas, came out to visit and see our rescue ranch, because to visit our rescue ranch has been on their Bucket List for several years.

I instantly liked this super nice, friendly couple when they arrived. Tony wasn't here when they arrived, because he was up at the Medina Highpoint Resort taking pictures of beautiful vintage cars that had come to a rally there. Some of his pictures included a '65 Ford Mustang, '55 Ford, T.-Bird, '60's Jeepster, etc.

I gave our new friends, from Paris, a tour of our rescue ranch and introduced them to all of our super dogs. And they especially liked our sweet, adorable Katee Sackhoff.

Tony arrived right after I had given them a grand tour and like me he instantly liked them, too. While he was visiting with them outside, I  came inside and called Kinky to ask him if I could bring them over to meet him. "Sure Nance, bring them over. They can meet Marcie and Big G, too."

We had a really fun visit with Kinky, Marcie and Big G and while we were there Big G was playing some really great blues using Kinky's guitar. I said, "Omg, Big G! I didn't know that you played the guitar. How long have you been playing?"

"For over fifty years," he replied, followed by a chuckle.

"Wow, me too. I am so glad that you're here, because it reminded me to tell you that tomorrow morning I'm going out to Terlingua with my sister Cindy, my brother Ronnie and his wife Nita. so I won't be doing your show. Tony is going to have to do the Utopia segment Tuesday morning and he's kind of nervous about it."

"Great," Big G said. "Now, tell Tony not to be nervous..."

After our fun visit, we came back over to the rescue ranch, because James & Vivi needed to get back on the road, because they were going to drive to Boerne to shop and eat lunch, before driving back to Llano where they are staying. And before they drove away they told us that they were going to do some serious thinking about possibly adopting Katee.

Now about last night. I had a blast binge-watching a new series on Netflix and I hardly ever quit laughing. Seriously, it was so funny my back started aching, because I was laughing so hard. The name of the adult, sitcom series is The Ranch. Starring Sam Elliott, Debra Winger and Ashton Kutcher. And Don Reo is a co-creator of this Netflix comedy.

Our friend Don Reo is also a good friend of Kinky's. In fact, we met him, because of Kinky. Don is the nicest man and he is one of the best American television writers and producers. Several years ago he and Judith, his sweet wife, came out to visit all of us, on a couple of times, and they love our rescue ranch and they support our efforts.

Don is also famous for creating some of the best television shows such as: Blossom, The John Larroquette Show for NBC and My Wife and Kids for ABC. And he has written for Everybody Hates Chris, M*A*S*H, Rhoda and The Golden Girls, too. He was also the executive producer and the main writer for the FOX show Action and he was an executive producer and show runner on Two And A Half Men.

Anyway, I want to highly recommend that you watch The Ranch sitcom on Netflix, because I promise that it will keep you laughing. Click here to watch The Ranch official trailer.

Y'all have a great evening!
