Today has been great, but nothing really significant has happened, except for Kinky calling me from New York City. After we had talked about how The Friedmans (Kinky's dogs) were doing he told me that he is going to be on the Imus show tomorrow morning. So, I plan to record it, because I am not sure what time Kinky will be on or what time I will be getting up in the morning. I hope that y'all will watch it, because our rescue ranch loves Don Imus and his beautiful wife for all of their support they have given to our Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, for the past fourteen years.
Other than me having spent the last two hours learning how to play new songs on my guitar, I plan on doing some more writing on The Cowgirl Sisterhood: The Membership Drive, Part II novella and that's about it for tonight.

New Connection To Tony!
Today has been really great, because my book, Meanwhile Back At The Rescue Ranch: The Dog Days of Cousin Nancy is now for sale as an e-book at Barnes & Noble and is also for sale on Amazon! Yeah! I am so thrilled because it was a little difficult for me to figure it all out and how to do it and that is why I truly wish that I was a computer nerd, because it has taken me months trying to figure it all out and if I was a nerd—I bet that I could have done it within an hour. Anyway, I am celebrating and please wish me luck.
This afternoon I went on FaceBook to update my page and to also make the announcement of my ebook finally coming out of the closet, so to speak. I wish that I understood FaceBook and how to navigate around, but thanks to T. he has offered to give me a lesson or two or three or...
Late this afternoon Tony and I took Belle on another short trip down to the creek and we had a blast with her and we are so proud of her for several reasons. First being, Tony leashed trained her in a matter of a few minutes and she did not mind her new connection to Tony. And we are also proud of her because she is now a swimming fool! She swims better than a fish! And lastly, she didn't vomit on me while riding in Kermit. Here is a short (less than a minute long) video of Belle swimming by the bridge to prove it and I named it The U.S.S. B.S.-S.! I hope that you enjoy watching it. And here are a few cute pictures of the girl who stole Tony's heart away from me.

Imus In The Morning!
Today has been great. Tony woke me up real early this morning, so I would be wide awake, in time to do The Harley Show, at seven forty-five, on The Rose 99.9 FM radio station.
Harley's show was a lot of fun and his Pet Of The Week was Lily, our sweet Catahoula mix and I told him all about her, "Harley, she is sweet and a really smart dog. And she gets along great with other dogs and kids. In other words, she is one great dog..."

After Tony and I ate lunch today, he took our Maudie to Kerrville, to get her checked out at Hoegemeyer Animal Clinic, because she has started having fainting spells. I stayed home, because earlier this week, some people had made an appointment to come out to look at our dogs and possibly adopt one, so their dog would have a companion.
Around one-thirty Mama started barking outside, to let me know we had company, so I went outside to greet the people pulling up, in a Subaru. As soon as I met Bill and Phyllis and their big dog Maggie—I was impressed with them and liked them.
After they told me that they wanted a female dog I gave them a tour and introduced them to all of our females. When they picked the one they liked most, we took the dogs for a walk down to the creek and the dogs got along beautifully!
When we returned to the rescue ranch, Tony was back, but Maude wasn't, because Dr. Janssen wanted to keep her over night, so he could run some tests on her. After I introduced Bill and Phyllis to Tony we took the dogs into my cabin's front yard and unleashed them, to see how they would get along and they got along great.
Forty minutes later, after they had signed off on the adoption papers, they loaded the dogs into the back of their car and happily drove away and Tony and I were thrilled that another one of our great dogs had found a fantastic forever home. This is who they adopted.
Yes, it was Lily! Harley's Pet Of The Week today! And she is going to live on an island in Canada during the summer months, and do a lot of swimming up there with her new best friend Maggie, and then she'll spend the rest of her time on a lovely ranch, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! Needless to say, it made our day.
This evening around five-fifteen Ben Stiller was returned to us, because he wasn't working out, but I am fine about it, because the minute that Tony reunited him with his girlfriend Gracie, who also came back to us, two days ago—they put instant smiles on our faces, because they were so happy to be back together, again.
FYI: Kinky is going to be doing Imus In The Morning, at 5:30 Central Time, tomorrow morning. And tomorrow my dear friend Shirley, from Houston, is coming out for a visit, so we can catch up with each others news. And, I know for a fact that Eileen, one of our great dog walking volunteers is also coming out tomorrow, too! So Friday's forecast is looking good for another great day.

The Calendars Are Nearly Sold Out!
Today has been great and exciting! This morning, while Tony, Aaron and me were eating breakfast, the phone rang, and I let the machine take the call, while I was talking to old Thunder, telling her how much I loved her. “Nancy! Nancy!” Aaron said. “You’ve got to take this call! It’s your credit card people—something about fraud—idenity theft!”
I got up from the kitchen table, just as the woman hung up. I went to the phone, and listened carefully to her message, and wrote down the 1-800 number. I then glanced at the Caller ID—and it read—Caller Unknown! Hmmm.......
After Tony and Aaron put their dishes into the kitchen sink, they went outside to go to work. I then called the 1-800 number. “Fraud Department. Please give me your credit card number. I need to know your credit card number.”
“What?” I asked, feeling that maybe a scam was going down.
“I need your credit card number, please.”
“Ma’am, I’m sorry, but I have no idea who you are,” I said. “I will call the phone number that is listed on my Visa bill. Goodbye.” I then opened up my Visa bill, and called the number on it. “This is Visa. How may I assist you?”
“Ma’am, this is Cousin Nancy, and I just received a phone call from y’all, I think. They said it had to do with identity fraud, and I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be me. When that woman asked me for my credit card number, I told her that I would call you directly.” The woman then switched me over to V.F.D.— their Visa Fraud Department.
I gave this woman my name and credit card number, then she asked me for my Social Security number, and a few other private things. “Yes, Ms. Simons, I’m sorry to tell you.There was an unauthorized purchase made yesterday on your credit card.”
“Oh my gosh!” I said, as I opened up the kitchen cabinet, and pulled out an aspirin, so not to have a heart attack! “Who is it and how much?” I was praying that they hadn’t maxed out my credit card.
“The charge was made by &^#$*^#, yesterday afternoon. The amount was for one dollar.”
“One dollar?” I asked.
“Yes. Do you want to approve that charge?”
“Nope.”
“Okay. We will now cancel your credit card, and reissue you a new card and number...”
After working that stuff out, my sister Cindy then phoned me. I told her all about the credit card deal, and she told me that it is called phishing. “They first make a small charge, to see if you notice, and then they gradually start increasing the amount.
“Cindy,” I said. “Thank goodness it was only for a dollar. Wouldn’t it have been funny, if I had told the woman, after she told me the amount, “Oh my gosh—they’ve maxed out my credit card!” Then she and I laughed and talked about our Thanksgiving plans, and other things.
Well, I hope that y’all have a great evening—Tony and I are planning to!
P.S. Ben has just called, and I have just found out that our Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch 2009 calendar, is now over three quarters sold out—I love it! I’m so proud of it! I hope that you were able to get one! I’m fixing to go to bed right now, because I’m doing Harley, in the morning, at the Rose 99.9 FM, Kerrville, Texas, at 7:45, while Kinky will be talking to Imus at 7:30! Good Night Everyone and Sweet Dreams!
