A couple of days ago, Tony and I dropped off Bunny and Bosco, two of our rescued pups, that we adopted, so they could be neutered and spayed at Hoegemeyer’s Animal Clinic. After that, we stopped by Wolfmueller’s Books to visit with Jon, Sandy and Mary Jo, before going home.
We love going to Wolfmueller’s because—we always wind up laughing, because each of them— have such a great sense of humor! If Sandy’s not making us laugh—then Jon or Mary Jo is!
On this fun visit, Sandy and Jon surprised me with an awesome, belated birthday gift! They gave me the newly published book by Bill Wittliff—"A Book of Photographs from Lonesome Dove," with a foreword by Larry McMurtry, and Introduction by Stephen Harrigan! And, I was beside myself!
I have been wanting to buy that book, ever since I had seen it on display at Wolfmueller’s Books last month. In fact, on that visit, I was planning on asking Jon and Sandy if they would let me put it in layaway, but before I could ask them—they presented me with the book! Thank you, Sandy and John! I love my present—and I promise that I’ll never loan it out!
Yesterday, Tony and I picked up Bunny and Bosco from Hoegemeyer’s, and brought them home. They were pretty groggy and only wanted to sleep, but this morning—we’re talking full recovery! Their spirits were high—ears up, tails wagging, and running faster than Rick’s boat rides!
I have to leave now, because Kinky called and has invited me to go on a walk, with him and the Friedmans, so we can discuss our upcoming Bonefit, and toss around some fundraising ideas!

You made my day with this news!
I see you have two Boston Rescues. I bet they will keep you all laughing with their antics. I'ts great to hear about a Bonefit. I hope it's close enough for my daughter and I to attend. We would love to meet you.

Nancy I am with you guys on Wolfmueller’s Books. Jon and Sandy’s store seems like a great oasis where you can relax in the shade almost anytime for a refreshment of good books and conversations.
As I told Sandy last visit I am a seasoned judge of good book stores, since I own enough books to change my name to Melvil Dewey and start classifying in my spare time. They have a really comfortable store, with a great selection of good reads, and they are great people.
Take care,
Bob K.
