You made the Old Boy very happy. Your acknowledgment of his birhtday means a lot to him. You are a real Sweetheart!
Nancy, you are a sweeheart indeed. I follow your blog, so I am peppering my comments with a lot of commas, since I now know you are comma-deprived.
I enjoy your food narratives so, for the record, I will recount my birthday supper. After coming home early---6:30PM---from work, I did my cardio treadmill and sat down to a gourmet supper. Two bacon and tomato sandwiches, with a dessert that had 3 of what a recent health magazine calls the 7 "superfoods"---walnuts, greek yogurt, and blueberries.
Finally, I never cease to marvel at the new hazards of life in rural Texas. Once again, in addition to snakes, stickers, floods, fires, and being declared dead prematurely---eat your heart out with all those commas---I now can add being electrocuted by that doggy high line! Is it any wonder I'm afraid to come visit?
Good morning Karen and 'Erb! Your birthday dinner sounds delicious especially the dessert. Yesterday Matt hit the hot wire again and we all had a big laugh about it, again!
Y'all need to come down here and see us. We miss you and would love to see y'all! And don't worry about the hazards—Tony and I will try to protect you!
Jeez, seems like only a year ago 'Erb was celebrating his birthday. Time sure flies LOL! Happy Birthday Herb! Hope you had a super day filled with all those things and people you love. May all your dreams and wishes come true this year!
