Foreingner Friends!

Today has turned out to be great. Early this afternoon our dear friend Simon and her sweet mom, from Amsterdam, came by for a fun visit. While they were inside The Cabin we started talking about fasting, juicing and health, etc., because Simone's mother is a retired nurse and she could pass as Simone's sister, because she has been health conscious all of her life.

"Yall," I said, which made Simone's mom giggle, because she's never been to Texas and she thinks our accents are funny. "When I was up, in Austin, the other day, my sister gave me a fabulous, contest winning, vegan chili recipe that I cooked for Tony and me last night and it was absolutely delicious. In fact, Tony and I are never going to eat any other kind of chili from here on out. It is an easy recipe, too and...."

Our foreigner-friends were very interested in the no-meat chili recipe, so I made them copies, from the copy that Cindy had given to me. After they read the recipe's healthy ingredients they both were excited about trying it. "I'll fix y'all some of our leftovers from last night. And I'll heat it up right now, so you can taste it!" I said. "Y'all are going to love it." Which made them both chuckle.

After they had tasted it, they started raving about how delicious the vegan chili was. "We will cook this tonight!" Simone stated, with enthusiasm. "When we leave here we are going to Bandera, so I can show Mom Bandera," Simone said. "We can pick up all of the ingredients, at the grocery store, in Bandera...."

Then we went outside, so Tony and I could give Simone's mom the grand tour. First, we went into Outer Space and sat out there for a while and visited. Then I showed them my writing cabin and then we walked around the rescue ranch, so I could introduce our dogs and tell their stories, to our friends visiting us from another country, that also has heavy accents.

Around 3:00, Tony and I jumped into Trigger and took off, for Kerrville, to run a few errands. Our first stop was at the Next Generation Produce, so we could drink another one of their delicious, healthy Pear Bear juice. Then we went to Wild Birds Unlimited, so Tony could purchase some of their super-special birdseed, that attracts all kinds of beautiful birds to Tony's many bird feeders.

After a fun visit with Kevin and Linda Pillow, the friendly owners of the super cool store, we went down the road, to the big H-E-B, so we could purchase more fruits and vegetables. Then we came back home.

Y'all have a great evening!

You are so adorable. Hope you did not get blown away. And my best to Garnet. I know that making the decision on Ginger was hard. I am sure Ginger will find the right situation for a forever home.
