For Old Times Sake! & A Update @ 5:20!
Today has been great. Our dear friend Kris sent me this picture this morning to let me know that Bob really does get around. She wrote that this morning she & Jim spotted Bob, in their hotel's parking lot. And I totally love it! "Thank you Kris!"
For the past few days Tony has walked more steps than me, but I am proud to report that yesterday I finally out-walked him, because I had walked over 8,895 steps! And I did it by dancing the two-step, in the big room, to one of my favorite Gary P. Nunn songs—For Old Times Sake.
Seriously, yesterday morning while Tony was getting ready to go to work with me, I danced around The Cabin for over 18 minutes, while listening to Gary P. sing this favorite song of mine, over and over and over again. And when we left the house to go next door I had already taken over 2,500 steps!
Well, today is the first day of Sarah, Darlene, Tony and I competing against one another to see who walks the most steps per day. And right now, I am betting that I am in last place, because I spent most of my morning washing dishes and cooking in the kitchen.
Even though I was busy in the kitchen making fresh batches of salsa, making and cooking more veggie burgers, finished cooking another pot of beans, washing more dishes, cooking us lunch, etc.—I've only taken 2,581 steps and it is almost 1:30.
So that's about it for today, because I am going to take a short nap with our dogs and then dance a little, before getting back to my writing.
Y'all take care and keep on laughing!
I tried sleeping during my nap, but I couldn't because I kept thinking that I needed to get up and walk. So I got up and decided I would get more steps in by walking 4 Fast Miles with Leslie Sansone. Plus I love this DVD.
Before starting my 45 minute walk with Leslie, I took my pedometer off and took a picture of where I was at, before starting the workout video.
Then I started walking with Leslie after pausing to take this picture of her on the TV.
As soon as my walking workout ended I removed my pedometer again, and took a picture of how many more steps I had walked—8063!
I was thrilled with the results to say the least. Then I went back into Tony's man-cave and took a picture of his pedometer. And please note that Tony's pedometer clock is set one hour behind mine, which is the real time, because he can't reset the time, because he forgot his iPhone's password and is locked out.
Anyway, as of right now at 5:20, I am ahead of Tony!
