Where There's A Will!

Today has been great. This morning when I woke up Tony was gone and happily drinking coffee, with his friends, at The Old Timer, in Medina. When  I went into the kitchen I read the note that Tony had left for me, on the breakfast bar. When I read it I laughed out loud, because once again he and I had forgotten our March 10th wedding anniversary. In fact, we've only remembered about four of them, since 1999.

After making my coffee I decided to hand write a holographic will, because I've been meaning to do this for a very long time.

After I wrote out my wishes, I made a PDF copy of it and then when Tony got back home I gave him the piece of paper, for him to keep. Then I e-mailed a copy of my handwritten will to my sister Cindy, even though I know that copies of a holographic will don't stand up in court. I did it just to make sure she could vouch for me if and when God honks my horn.

Then I called Cindy, so that she wouldn't worry about me sending her a copy of my last will and testament. "Cindy, I just sent you a copy of my holographic will and I want you to keep it just in case. I've already made a mistake writing it and probably will need to rewrite it, because I wrote holistic will instead holographic will." She and I burst out laughing. "Anyway, I just want you to know that I want my...."

"Well Nance," Cindy said, in between chuckles. "I'll print it out and save it, but I think that we will be okay."

Once again, we started laughing, as I knocked-on-wood—the breakfast bar to be exact. "Where there's a will there's a way," I joked. "And when I wrote, "being of sound mind" I started to write "most of the time," but I figured that since it is a legal document, it was best not to make jokes. Even though it would have been pretty funny." Then we changed the subject and talked about our trip.

After we had talked about our upcoming trip we adios-ed each other. Then I plugged in my iPhone to charge it and then I sat down, at the kitchen table and decided to feng-shui my contacts list. I was amazed to find that I had over 368 contacts. And twenty minutes later, I had deleted my contacts down to only 272 and it felt good. Then I went outside to help Tony finish up doing our morning chores.

This afternoon Tony and I went to Kerrville to run several errands, before I leave, in the morning, with Cindy. Then I started packing for my trip. And I have one more clue to give to you about Cindy's and my fun,"research expedition," for The Cowgirl Sisterhood: Part III novella. And I wish you luck in trying to figure this one out.

While I'm gone I might try to post something on my blog, but then again I might not, because I want my next novella to be a complete surprise to everyone including me. And that is about it for tonight.

Y'all have a great evening!
