One More Rule!

This morning I received an e-mail from Denise and two from Kris concerning our 30 Day Food Challenge.

Denise wrote us that she realized that yesterday she broke the diet, because she ate onion rings, at Po Po restaurant. But the good news is she is re-starting it today.

The first e-mail Kris sent to Denise and me made me laugh out loud and it was great news for me. She suggested that we add one more rule to our 30 Day Food Challenge—"It's okay to fall off the wagon every once in a while."

The second e-mail that Denise and I received from Kris was a challenge to me. Kris was asking me to start doing this diet with her, on October 1st and that made me burst out laughing, because I literally had two of (Carol's) Cousin Nancy's Ultimate Chocolate Sheet Cakes baking, in the oven.

So I wrote Kris and Denise a short e-mail declaring how much I LOVED Kris' new added rule. Then I told Kris that I was going to start doing this 30 Day Food Challenge today, because I had two delicious, chocolate sheet cakes baking, in the oven.

And after I wrote them back. I pulled the two cakes out of the oven, frosted them and added the pecan pieces. Then I called Kinky to let him know that I had baked Carol's, I mean my delicious chocolate sheet cake and that one of them had his name on it. And he seemed to be delighted with my news until I told him, "But I can't bring it over until later this afternoon."

Around 11:30 Tony and I met Kris & Jim and Kay for lunch, at the Medina Highpoint Resort's Koyote Grill. Of course the food was delicious and we did a lot of laughing. And the best part was we ate my chocolate sheet cake for dessert. And Tony gave away the rest of this delicious, famous cake to our good friends that work, at the Medina Highpoint Resort.

After our fun lunch, Kay and Kris & The Mineral Man followed us, over to our property, to check out all of the new things we've done over there. And quite frankly—they all seemed to be pretty impressed.

When Tony and I got back home, I called Kinky to let him know that we were back and then I asked him if it was a good time for us to bring his cake over to him.

Two minutes later, Tony and I took off, for the Lodge, in JJ Cale, to make a special delivery, but we got intercepted, by a good friend, as soon as the rescue ranch gate had closed behind us. It was Fourth Coates. And after we had greeted each other we invited Fourth to follow us, over to Kinky's, because he and Kinky are good friends, too.

Within one minute of our arrival, Fourth and Kinky were sitting down, at the kitchen table, eating my/his mouth-watering, chocolate sheet cake.

We had a really fun visit with Kinky and Fourth, in Kinky's kitchen and we must have stayed, over at the Lodge, for at least forty-five minutes. And the whole time that we were over there Kinky kept nibbling away on his cake. And that is about it for tonight.

Y'all have a great evening and keep on laughing!

Hi Anon! I have not shared (Carol's) my Cousin Nancy's Ultimate Chocolate Sheet Cake recipe, because I gave Carol my word that It would remain our little (gigantic) secret. Even though I printed out two copies of it yesterday. And gave the recipe to Jim aka The Mineral Man and Kay.

However, this "secret" recipe of Carol's is in my upcoming Cowgirl Sisterhood Part III cliffhanger novella. But the sad news is I haven't been doing much writing on it these past few months, because we've been very busy working on our new cabin. So please hang in there.
