After Kinky and I adios-ed each other, I called Carol to tell her what was going on and her immediate response was, "Oh my god, Nancy! He can't sit on Maya with her wearing a pink saddle blanket!"
"I know and that's why I called you..."
Today has been great thanks to The Cowgirl Sisterhood. Carol arrived at the rescue ranch at 8:00 as planned, with a gray saddle blanket for Maya. After we said our howdies we jumped into the truck and Kermit to go find Maya to get her ready for her first major picture role.
After saddling Maya, The Smartest Horse in Medina Movies, Carol took her into the corral to exercise her and run her around the ring for a few minutes, because it's been quite a while since I have ridden her and Little Jewford, our miniature donkey, who worships Maya, went into the corral, too.
Before Kinky and the crew took off, Kinky invited us to come back over when his musician friend, Jimmy Lafave, arrives to be in some scenes with Kinky. And here is a picture that I took of the movie director visiting with Kinky and Jimmy.
Y'all have a great evening!
